Jack Osbourne Gives Heartbreaking Update On Sharon After Ozzy’s Death

Jack Osbourne offered a candid update on how his mother, Sharon Osbourne, is coping after the death of her husband, legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne. Speaking on Good Morning America, Jack said Sharon is “okay, but not okay,” comforted by the love and support from fans even as grief remains raw.

Ozzy Osbourne passed away on July 22, 2025, at age 76, following years of health issues including Parkinson’s disease and heart complications. His final performance took place in Birmingham on July 5, marking a symbolic farewell to his hometown and to the stage.

The rock icon’s death led to an enormous public outpouring. Thousands attended a procession in Birmingham, where Sharon, Jack, and Kelly Osbourne joined mourners paying tribute at the Black Sabbath Bridge. Sharon later thanked fans on Instagram, saying their messages had “carried me through many nights.”

Jack described his mother as functioning day to day while adjusting to life without her husband of over 40 years. Despite ongoing grief, Sharon has continued fulfilling commitments linked to Ozzy’s final projects.

Those projects include two documentaries — Coming Home on BBC and Ozzy: No Escape from Now on Paramount+ — showing his struggles and resilience in his final years.

Ozzy’s posthumous memoir, Last Rites, released October 7, reflects on mortality, love, and his bond with Sharon. Jack said his father wanted readers to smile, not pity him.

For the Osbourne family, grief and gratitude now coexist. Sharon continues to honor Ozzy’s memory publicly while finding her way privately — living proof, as Jack said, that she’s “okay, but not okay.”
