Report: It’s Revealed Who Adam Schiff Was Leaking Classified Info To
Newly declassified FBI interview records have reignited claims that Senator Adam Schiff authorized the leaking of classified information during the Trump–Russia investigation.
Documents obtained by Just The News reveal that a Democratic intelligence officer, who served on the House Intelligence Committee, told the FBI multiple times between 2017 and 2023 that Schiff approved leaks intended to politically harm then-President Donald Trump. At the time, Schiff was the committee’s top Democrat and later became its chairman.
The whistleblower claimed that Representative Eric Swalwell of California was the likely source of the leaks, allegedly meant to bolster the “Russiagate” narrative. One FBI summary described a meeting in which Schiff allegedly told staff they would leak damaging information about Trump to push for his indictment.
Swalwell has denied the allegations, dismissing them and questioning the credibility of the claims. The whistleblower also said Schiff was promised the role of CIA Director if Hillary Clinton won the 2016 election, and continued leaking efforts after her loss.
According to the records, the whistleblower said they personally saw Schiff approve the leaks and reported it to authorities, but the Justice Department showed little interest. They were later dismissed from their position.
Investigative journalist Paul Sperry added that Schiff’s leaks may have reached Washington Post reporter Ellen Nakashima, linking the leaks to major Russiagate stories between 2016 and 2017.
Schiff’s office has yet to respond to the allegations, though he has previously denied leaking classified information. The claims, if proven, could carry major legal and political consequences.
