Senator Suffers Seizure, Brain Bleed After Falling On Ice

North Dakota Republican Senator Kevin Cramer is recovering after experiencing a seizure and a brain bleed following a fall on ice at his home.

Cramer shared the update on social media, reassuring followers that he is now resting safely at home after the weekend incident.

In a Facebook post, he described the accident, saying he had gone to his backyard to retrieve a piece of conduit that had come off his dock and was lying on the ice.

“As I walked down the hill toward the dock, I stepped on ice and fell hard, hitting the back of my head,” he wrote, recounting the frightening moment.

The senator said he lost consciousness and only regained awareness after being transported to a local emergency room, with his wife, Kris, assisting him in getting help.

Cramer expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support and kind messages he received from friends, constituents, and colleagues following the incident.

He concluded by noting that he would be taking time to rest and focus on his recovery, emphasizing the importance of health and healing before resuming his duties.
