Donald Trump Makes Huge U-Turn On Epstein Files With Huge Announcement

President Donald Trump has shifted his stance on releasing government files related to Jeffrey Epstein, now urging House Republicans to support full disclosure and insisting his party has “nothing to hide.”

For weeks, Trump had pressed Republicans to block the Epstein Files Transparency Act, but the bill gained enough signatures to force a vote. It would require the Justice Department to release all unclassified records tied to Epstein, with redactions to protect victims and ongoing investigations.

Growing pressure inside the GOP pushed Trump to reverse course. Dozens of Republicans are expected to join Democrats in backing the measure, with supporters arguing that transparency is necessary to restore public trust.

Trump maintains the renewed focus on Epstein is politically motivated, aimed at harming him ahead of the 2026 midterms. He has emphasized that previously released documents include many references to Democrats and insists Republicans should “get back on point.”

Although Trump has never been charged in connection with Epstein, newly released documents have renewed scrutiny of their past association. Some emails from Epstein’s estate allege Trump “knew about the girls,” a claim he denies.

Internal GOP tensions have intensified, with figures like Marjorie Taylor Greene defying Trump by supporting the transparency bill. Trump reacted angrily before later encouraging Republicans to vote for it.

The House is expected to vote on the bill soon. Its future in the Senate is unclear, but if passed, it would require Trump to sign it into law, solidifying his public push for releasing the remaining unclassified Epstein files.
