‘Omen’ spotted in ‘insane’ Donald Trump photo – people have questions
A set of viral photos has sparked intense discussion online after viewers claimed to notice a troubling detail involving President Donald Trump. The images appear to show an American flag lying on the White House lawn, prompting confusion and criticism across social media.
According to U.S. flag code, the flag must never touch the ground or anything beneath it. Cornell Law School reiterates this rule clearly, noting that the flag should not come into contact with surfaces such as the ground or water.
The photos, taken on Sunday (16 November), show Trump returning to the White House from Mar-a-Lago as a folded flag appears to rest on the grass behind him. Another circulating image shows the flag on the lawn without anyone nearby, heightening speculation.
Online reactions ranged from disbelief to symbolic interpretations. Some users wondered whether the moment was an “omen,” while others called the image “insane” or questioned whether it was real. Critics and supporters alike expressed shock at the sight.
The White House quickly dismissed the photos as misleading. A spokesperson labeled claims that the flag touched the ground as “fake news,” insisting the situation was misinterpreted by viewers.
This comes months after Trump signed an executive order aimed at cracking down on flag desecration. The directive encourages federal and local prosecution, allows immigration penalties for foreign nationals involved, and frames the flag as a sacred national symbol.
White House spokesman Davis Ingle clarified that high winds prompted staff to lower the newly installed South Lawn flag into a protective container during Marine One’s landing, adding that it never came into contact with the ground.
