Joe Rogan Slams Donald Trump Administration Over ‘Scary’ Now-Deleted Video

Joe Rogan has criticized the Trump administration after the Department of Homeland Security used a clip of fellow podcaster Theo Von without permission in a government video.

Rogan, one of the most influential podcasters in the world and a longtime UFC commentator, has previously supported Donald Trump and endorsed him during last year’s presidential race. Trump even appeared on Rogan’s show while campaigning.

However, nearly a year into Trump’s second term, Rogan expressed frustration over how the administration handled the situation involving Von. The DHS used footage of Von in a promotional video about immigration enforcement, sparking controversy.

Von had already spoken publicly about the incident, saying on his podcast This Past Weekend that the unauthorized use of his clip brought him a wave of online harassment and made him feel genuinely frightened.

During his appearance on Rogan’s show, Von explained that the video used was from more than a year earlier and had been posted jokingly. Rogan expressed disbelief that the government didn’t contact Von before using the footage.

Rogan argued that if a private company used someone’s content without consent, the creator would have legal grounds for a lawsuit, adding that Von should have been protected from that kind of misuse.

Von revealed that he eventually hired an attorney, which led to the video being removed.
