Jamie Lee Curtis breaks down in tears as she randomly compares Princess Diana to ‘vile’ Trump
Jamie Lee Curtis did not hold back her criticism of Donald Trump during an appearance on the British morning show This Morning, where she was promoting her new comedy-drama Ella McCay.
While speaking with the hosts, Curtis reflected on Princess Diana’s global influence and recounted how she almost met the late royal while filming the 1997 movie Fierce Creatures. Diana, along with young Princes William and Harry, had planned to visit the set.
Curtis shared that she missed the visit but later exchanged letters with Diana—a memory that still moves her. She praised Diana as an exceptional role model whose compassion continues to resonate.
The actress contrasted Diana’s example with what she sees in current U.S. political leadership. Holding back emotion, Curtis criticized the hostility she believes American leaders now display, highlighting a stark difference from Diana’s approach to people.
Curtis expressed hope that U.S. politics will eventually shift away from its current tone. She then aimed sharper criticism at Trump, recalling his treatment of a female journalist, whom he labeled “piggy.”
She argued that Trump’s conduct—particularly that moment—reveals behavior unfit to represent the United States, suggesting it could ultimately contribute to his downfall.
The incident she referenced occurred on November 14 aboard Air Force One, when Trump lashed out at Bloomberg reporter Catherine Lucey after she questioned him about newly released Jeffrey Epstein emails. A White House official later defended Trump’s remarks, accusing the reporter of behaving unprofessionally toward others on the flight.
