Donald Trump fuels outrage as people spot ‘unprofessional’ detail during cabinet meeting

US President Donald Trump has drawn online attention after an “unprofessional” moment during his recent Cabinet meeting.

The 79-year-old Republican, known for giving derogatory nicknames to others, faced a new nickname himself after observers noted him squinting and briefly closing his eyes during the three-hour session on December 2.

The incident followed an intense night on his social media platform, Truth Social, where Trump posted more than 160 times between 7 pm and midnight on December 1, then returned early the next morning.

Online critics quickly compared the moment to Trump’s frequent jabs at his Democratic predecessor, Joe Biden, whom he often calls “Sleepy Joe,” and dubbed the president “Sleepy Don.”

Comments on social media ranged from humorous to critical, with users joking about Trump being too tired after late-night posting and questioning his alertness during official meetings.

The White House responded, with press secretary Karoline Leavitt asserting that Trump was fully attentive and conducted the entire three-hour Cabinet meeting, highlighting his leadership and the accomplishments of his team.

Leavitt emphasized that all meetings have been open to the press and praised Trump’s performance, noting his critique of Democratic policies during the press conference and framing the session as part of his administration’s efforts to “Make America Great Again.”
