Bombshell poll reveals what US voters really think of Trump 11 months into presidency

As Donald Trump approaches the one-year mark of his second inauguration, a new report sheds light on how Americans view his return to the presidency.

Trump, who resumed office in January as the 47th President at age 79, quickly implemented sweeping policy changes across immigration, the economy, and international trade.

His new tariff strategy reshaped global markets, and the U.S. experienced its longest-ever federal government shutdown from October to November. He also intervened in global conflicts, meeting with Vladimir Putin in an attempt to address Russia’s war with Ukraine.

Domestically, Trump deployed National Guard forces to several major cities in an effort to tackle what he labeled rising crime. Despite these actions, his approval ratings have remained low, with a striking 63% disapproval in October—nearing his post–Capitol riot low of 66%.

Surveys show widespread frustration over inflation, living costs, and the slow release of the Jeffrey Epstein documents. A recent New York Times poll shows slight improvement, giving Trump a 42% approval and 55% disapproval rating, though concerns about his economic management persist.

Even among Republicans, support is slipping. A Marquette University poll reported a drop in approval of his economic policies from 82% in July to 75%. Other polls reveal concerns over foreign policy, healthcare, and federal spending.

Overall, his approval ratings remain deeply negative. Compared with past presidents, including Biden and Obama, Trump is polling worse at this point in his term, and early indicators suggest Democrats may hold an advantage heading into next year’s midterms.
