Trump unleashes on reporter after she calls him out on bold lie about military strikes

President Trump has once again erupted at a White House reporter, this time after being questioned about a promise he made only days earlier regarding military strike footage.

The confrontation comes shortly after another tense moment in which Trump insulted a journalist by calling them “quiet piggy” during questions about the Jeffrey Epstein documents.

This time, ABC News reporter Rachel Scott asked Trump when he planned to release video of a second strike on an alleged drug-smuggling boat—something he had previously said he would make public. Trump immediately denied ever making that commitment, accusing ABC of spreading “fake news.”

However, a transcript from December 3 shows he did say the footage could be released, telling ABC’s Selina Wang that “whatever they have, we’d certainly release, no problem.” Scott pressed him on the contradiction and asked whether he would direct Secretary of War Pete Hegseth to release the footage. Trump responded that the decision was now in Hegseth’s hands.

He then shifted to defending the strikes themselves, claiming the attacks had stopped “94 percent” of drugs coming into the U.S. by sea and insisting that every vessel destroyed prevented thousands of overdoses—figures not supported by evidence.

When Scott redirected him again to the video, Trump snapped, calling her “the most obnoxious reporter in the whole place” and labeling her “terrible.”

Instead of harming her reputation, many viewers expressed support, arguing that Trump’s hostility toward reporters often signals they are asking the right questions.
