Huge update as viral video of Nickelodeon child star seemingly homeless raises concerns

A former Nickelodeon actor has shared a hopeful update after a troubling video of ex–child star Tylor Chase recently spread online, sparking widespread concern.

The viral clip appeared to show Chase looking unwell and living on the streets. In the video, a passerby asked if he had once been an actor, and Chase confirmed he had appeared regularly on Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide.

Many viewers criticized how the video was filmed, but most expressed sadness and hoped Chase would receive proper help rather than judgment. The footage quickly gained attention across social media platforms.

Following the video’s spread, several of Chase’s former castmates addressed the situation publicly. Devon Werkheiser, who played the lead character Ned, said seeing Chase in that state was deeply upsetting.

Werkheiser described Chase as kind and gentle during their time on the show and noted they had not been in contact for nearly two decades. He also cautioned that giving money alone might not resolve the situation, especially given unknown mental health factors.

In a positive development, Daniel Curtis Lee, who played Cookie, reunited with Chase in Los Angeles. Lee shared a video showing them spending time together, getting food, and FaceTiming Werkheiser.

Lee also arranged a hotel stay for Chase and helped reconnect him with his father. He later said that showing compassion was what mattered most and expressed hope that Chase could rebuild his life, especially during the holiday season.
