Melania Trump Movie Posters Being Defaced Around LA With Hitler Mustaches
Promotional posters for a new documentary about US first lady Melania Trump have been repeatedly vandalised across Los Angeles, leading transit officials to reroute buses displaying the ads and sparking concerns about political tensions spilling into public spaces.
LA Metro said it reassigned some buses after seeing a sharp increase in damage to advertisements at city-operated bus shelters. Officials said the decision was made to reduce further vandalism and protect passengers, staff, and public property.
Images shared by local media show posters defaced with graffiti, including insults, devil horns, and a small moustache drawn on Melania Trump’s face resembling Adolf Hitler’s. Some messages referenced Eva Braun and alleged links to Jeffrey Epstein.
Although the affected bus shelters are managed by the City of Los Angeles, Metro said the scale of the vandalism raised fears that buses themselves could become targets. Officials described the damage as “extensive and severe.”
The incidents come as the documentary, produced by Amazon MGM Studios, approaches release. The film is set to debut in late January in around 1,700 theatres across the US and Canada, before streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
Reuters reported the documentary follows Melania Trump during the weeks leading up to Donald Trump’s 2025 inauguration and includes rare behind-the-scenes access. Melania Trump is listed as one of the film’s producers, and the project has a notably large marketing budget.
Public reaction in Los Angeles has been divided, with some condemning the vandalism and others expressing anger tied to broader political views. Authorities have reported no arrests, and it remains unclear whether the acts were coordinated or isolated.
