Bill Gates responds after Epstein files allege he ‘caught STDs from Russian Girls’
Several public figures were thrust back into attention after newly released Epstein files surfaced, with Bill Gates among the most discussed. The documents included an allegation that he contracted STDs from “Russian girls.”
Gates has previously acknowledged that meeting Jeffrey Epstein was a serious error. In earlier interviews, he described spending time with Epstein as a mistake he deeply regrets.
The controversy resurfaced when the United States Department of Justice released millions of additional records. Among them was a 2013 email, reportedly written by Epstein to himself, containing explicit and unverified claims about Gates.
In an interview with 9News, Gates firmly denied the accusations. He said the email was never sent, called it false, and suggested Epstein may have intended to harm him. He reiterated regret over any time spent in Epstein’s company.
Gates explained that he first met Epstein in 2011 and had several dinners with him, emphasizing he never visited Epstein’s private island or engaged in inappropriate conduct. He said their meetings centered on potential philanthropic fundraising.
His former wife, Melinda French Gates, addressed the broader issue on Wild Card, stating that unanswered questions should be directed to those involved, not to her.
Melinda also reflected on the societal impact of Epstein’s crimes, calling them heartbreaking. The couple divorced in 2021 after 27 years of marriage, following Gates’ acknowledgment of an extramarital affair.
