Australia’s PM issues scathing three-word warning to Trump over Iran war
Washington continues to claim that the main objectives of the war with Iran have already been achieved, presenting the conflict as largely resolved.
However, reports suggest the Pentagon is still preparing for possible limited ground missions, including raids on coastal areas and Kharg Island, a key hub for Iran’s oil exports.
Despite these preparations, former President Trump has described the situation as “won,” creating a contrast between political messaging and military planning.
This inconsistency has reportedly caused concern among U.S. allies, with some questioning what the actual end goal of the operation is.
In Australia, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese publicly pushed back on Washington’s framing, saying the United States has not clearly defined its intentions.
He acknowledged that Iran’s nuclear progress and regional influence may have been reduced, but warned that pursuing regime change could lead to severe consequences.
Albanese called for restraint and de-escalation, arguing that without a clear strategy, the situation could escalate into a broader and more unstable conflict.
