Four of Michael J. Fox’s kids have announced
Behind his public image and charitable work, Michael J. Fox values one role above all else: being a loving and involved father. Even with worldwide fame, family has remained at the center of his life.
At just 29, he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease during the early years of marriage with Tracy Pollan. At that time, they had only one child, but instead of letting fear limit them, they chose to keep building their family.
Together, they welcomed four children: Sam, twins Aquinnah and Schuyler, and their youngest daughter, Esme. Fox embraced fatherhood with the same determination he showed in facing his illness.
While he became a symbol of strength and hope in public, his children mostly stayed away from the spotlight. They preferred privacy and normal lives rather than growing up surrounded by constant media attention.
Sam, the oldest, is the only one who shares glimpses of family life on social media. Many people say he strongly resembles his father, not just physically, but also in kindness, humor, and loyalty.
His birthday messages for Michael often show their deep connection, built on honesty, support, and laughter through difficult times. Their relationship reflects years of trust and understanding.
During the pandemic, all four children returned to the family home on Long Island, ending the “empty nest” period. What could have been a stressful time became a special gift—bringing the whole family together again to support the father who had always been there for them.
