Barron Trump announces
Barron Trump, the youngest son of Donald Trump, was often expected to enter politics, but he has chosen business instead. He is now one of five co-founders and directors of Sollos Yerba Mate Inc., a new beverage startup.
The company focuses on drinks made with yerba mate, a popular South American beverage created from dried leaves of the Ilex paraguariensis plant. It has a slightly bitter taste and contains high caffeine levels, making it a healthier alternative to coffee.
Yerba mate has become more popular in the United States in recent years because many people see it as a natural energy source. Some even believe it contains more caffeine than matcha, which adds to its appeal.
Sollos is based in Florida and recently created excitement around its first product launch. Through LinkedIn promotions, the company introduced its first flavor combination: pineapple and coconut, sold in a 12-pack planned for release in May 2026.
The brand presents itself as a summer lifestyle drink connected to outdoor living and South Florida culture. Its name, “Sollos,” symbolizes the sun, with “SOL” representing sunrise and “LOS” representing sunset, reflecting a full-day lifestyle concept.
According to company records, Barron is officially listed as one of the five directors. The startup is registered in both Florida and Delaware and has already secured around $1 million from private investors before releasing any products.
Barron, who currently studies at New York University, has reportedly helped develop business plans for over a year. While balancing academics and entrepreneurship, he and his co-founders hope Sollos can succeed in the competitive beverage market.
