What ‘Berrisexual’ Means

More people are using specific labels to describe attraction, and one newer term gaining attention is berrisexual.

Berrisexual generally describes someone who may feel attraction to all genders, but whose attraction is usually stronger toward women, feminine people, and androgynous or nonbinary people.

Attraction to men or masculine people can still happen, but it is often less common, less strong, or secondary.

The term is more specific than broader labels like bisexual, pansexual, or omnisexual. For some people, it helps explain their feelings in a way that feels more accurate.

Like many newer identity labels, not everyone may know the term yet. But for those who use it, it can offer clarity, comfort, and a better way to describe their personal experience.
