We went on vacation

We were away for a week, and when we returned home, we noticed something unusual in the bathroom.

What initially looked like a piece of paper tucked into the corner turned out to be something far more alarming.

It was actually a hornets’ nest, carefully built in the quietest, most undisturbed part of our apartment while we were gone.

The discovery was shocking, especially realizing how close we had been to a living swarm without knowing it, protected only by a thin structure of chewed materials.

We immediately called pest control, and a team arrived wearing full protective gear, treating the situation with extreme caution.

As they removed the nest, the faint sound of buzzing inside made the whole scene feel unsettling and intense.

Even after it was gone, the experience lingered, leaving us overly aware of every small noise and shadow in the house for days.
