While working at a fast food restaurant, I noticed a woman had left her Louis Vuitton bag on a table. After waiting 20 minutes and realizing she wasn’t coming back, I took it to the lost and found without checking inside.
A month later, my manager asked if I wanted the bag since it hadn’t been claimed. I agreed, and when I opened it, I found a receipt with a handwritten note: “To the girl who needed a new purse during the holidays.” The bag had cost $1,700!
It seemed the woman had left it intentionally for someone in need—a random act of kindness. I packed my things into the bag and took it home. It wasn’t just a designer purse—it helped me feel more confident for job interviews and gave me a sense of being put-together.
I still have the bag today, and it reminds me to pay kindness forward whenever I can.
