Three teen sisters

Three sisters aged 16, 14, and 12 died after falling from their apartment building in Ghaziabad, India. Authorities described the incident as a suspected suicide and launched an investigation into the circumstances.

An eight-page note reportedly found at the scene revealed the girls’ strong interest in Korean entertainment and culture. The writings suggested they felt deeply connected to that world and struggled with family disagreements over it.

According to investigators, tensions increased after their father took away and sold their mobile phones because of concerns about their online activities and growing obsession with Korean content.

The sisters were said to use Korean-inspired identities on a social platform and spent much of their time watching dramas and engaging with online communities. Their note expressed frustration over being separated from those interests.

Reports indicated that during the COVID-19 pandemic, the girls left school and became heavily involved in online activities. Police examined evidence to determine whether any digital platform or challenge may have influenced their actions.

Their father later stated that he was unaware of any potential dangers connected to the online content they consumed. He urged other parents to monitor their children’s digital habits more closely.

Investigators also reviewed broader family circumstances, including financial pressures and past incidents connected to the household. While many questions remain, authorities continue examining the factors that may have contributed to the tragedy.
