Ben arrived at the hospital excited to bring home his wife, Suzie, and their newborn twins, but was shocked to find her gone. She left a note behind: “Goodbye. Take care of them. Ask your mother WHY she did this to me.”
Confused and worried, Ben went home to confront his mother, Mandy, who denied knowing anything. But later, Ben discovered a letter Mandy had written to Suzie: “You’ll never be good enough for my son. Leave before you destroy their lives.”
Realizing his mother’s harshness had driven Suzie away, Ben told her to leave. Left alone with the twins, he struggled through sleepless nights while desperately trying to find Suzie.
Months later, Suzie showed up at his door, looking healthier but full of emotion. She explained how postpartum depression, combined with Mandy’s cruel words, had pushed her to leave. Therapy had helped her recover, and she was ready to come back and be a family again.
Ben chose to forgive her, knowing it would take time and patience to rebuild their lives together, but love would guide them forward.
