At least one d.ead after plane collision

At least one person has died following a plane crash at Marana Regional Airport in Arizona. Marana Police and emergency responders are on-site, while the FAA and NTSB will investigate the incident. The cause of the crash remains unknown.

A local news outlet reported that two planes may have been involved, though this has not been confirmed. Marana Police stated, “There has been at least one confirmed deceased individual. Details are limited.” The airport does not have an air traffic control tower.

This marks the fourth major aviation accident in North America within a month, following fatal crashes in Washington, Philadelphia, and Alaska. Concerns over aviation safety have increased, particularly after President Trump dismissed hundreds of air traffic controllers following the Washington DC crash. Metro has reached out to Marana Police for further information.
