Renowned rock album cover artist Ioannis Vasilopoulos has sadly passed away at the age of 66. Best known for his iconic work with legendary bands like Bon Jovi, Deep Purple, Skid Row, and Blue Oyster Cult, Vasilopoulos created over 350 album covers throughout his career. His family announced his passing on April 7, sharing a heartfelt tribute that described him as a beloved artist, husband, father, and friend. They expressed comfort in knowing he’s now reunited with loved ones and promised to continue his legacy through his art.

Vasilopoulos also collaborated with major labels such as Sony Music, Universal Music, Virgin Records, and Starz. His family praised his passion, creativity, and enduring spirit, stating that his energy and childlike excitement will live on through his work. A memorial service was held today, April 11, at a Greek Orthodox Church. He is survived by his wife Lisa, daughter Maria, son-in-law Conor, grandchildren Henry and Jack, his brother George, and other close family members. Vasilopoulos leaves behind a lasting mark on the world of rock music and visual art. He will be deeply missed.
