World leaders slammed

World leaders attended Pope Francis’ funeral in Rome yesterday, following his death on Monday, April 21, at the age of 88 from a stroke that led to a coma and cardiac arrest. After a five-week hospital stay for double pneumonia, Pope Francis’ body was placed in St. Peter’s Basilica for public viewing. However, controversy arose when visitors, including a Brazilian priest, took selfies by the coffin, prompting the Vatican to warn against photography. Despite this, many continued to take pictures during the funeral, sparking widespread criticism. Former President Donald Trump also faced backlash for wearing a blue suit, considered inappropriate for the occasion.

Other leaders, including Joe Biden and Prince William, were also spotted taking selfies or photos during the event, further fueling public outrage. Many described these actions as disrespectful and called for a ban on electronic devices during such ceremonies. The behavior of world leaders during the service was widely condemned, with critics labeling it as shameful and morbid.
