Richard Gere’s Three Sons

Richard Gere embraced fatherhood at different stages of his life, first becoming a stepfather to Carey Lowell’s daughter, Hannah, in the early 2000s. This experience helped him overcome initial fears about parenting, especially after his earlier marriage to Cindy Crawford ended partly because of his hesitation to start a family. Gere later welcomed his first biological son, Homer James Jigme Gere, in 2000 at age 50. Deeply committed to balancing career and family, Gere prioritized spending time with Homer, who grew up to attend Brown University and occasionally appeared publicly with his father.

Nearly two decades later, Gere became a father again with his wife, Alejandra Silva. The couple had two sons, Alexander and a younger son, while maintaining a strong emphasis on privacy. Gere, now in his 70s, treasures this new chapter of parenthood, continuing to protect his family’s private life from the public eye. Despite facing health issues in 2023, Gere remained devoted to his family, with Silva assuring fans of his recovery. Throughout his life, Gere’s approach to fatherhood reflects his values of love, privacy, and deep personal growth.
