Simulation shows what

A recent simulation by YouTuber Zack D Films offers a disturbing yet fascinating look at what happens to the human body after death. Known for his graphic bodily simulations, Zack reveals the gruesome stages of decomposition. Shortly after death, blood settles in the lowest parts of the body, causing red and purple discoloration. As time passes, bacteria and enzymes begin breaking down internal organs, producing gases that bloat the body like a balloon. Eventually, the bloating subsides as the organs, soft tissue, and even the eyes liquefy.

Within a few years, the remaining tissue decays, leaving only the skeleton. If buried in a casket, this full decomposition process typically takes around 12 years. Viewers were unsettled by the reality that this transformation awaits everyone, with many commenting on the unsettling nature of death and decay. Despite efforts by some, like biohacker Bryan Johnson who’s trying to delay aging, death remains inevitable. One commenter poignantly remarked on the futility of skincare routines, as all flesh eventually deteriorates. While it’s a process we won’t feel, knowing it happens can still be deeply unsettling.
