Anonymous fires shot at Donald Trump
Hacktivist group Anonymous mocked President Donald Trump after he refused to comply with a Supreme Court ruling ordering the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Salvadoran man wrongly deported from Maryland. Trump insisted Garcia was affiliated with the MS-13 gang, citing a photo of a tattoo on his knuckle, which many—including his lawyers—claimed was digitally altered. During a tense interview marking his first 100 days in office, ABC’s Terry Moran challenged Trump on the image’s authenticity, prompting Trump to dismiss Moran by saying he chose him because he had “never heard of” him before.
Following the broadcast, Anonymous posted a satirical AI-generated image of Trump with an MS-13 tattoo, ridiculing the president’s defense of the photo. Trump previously shared the alleged tattoo image on social media, arguing Garcia was not innocent, despite legal rulings supporting Garcia’s case. Trump’s administration has deported hundreds of suspected gang members using a centuries-old law, but critics argue many of the accusations lack evidence. Garcia has not been charged with any crime, and his legal team maintains his innocence. The situation has sparked debate over the use of manipulated imagery and the president’s approach to immigration and judicial authority.
