Elon Musk issues br.tal five
Elon Musk recently responded to Bill Gates’ criticism with a blunt five-word remark, calling Gates a “huge liar” on his platform X, formerly Twitter. Gates had claimed in an interview that government cuts, linked to Musk’s advisory role in the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), could lead to two million deaths. Gates, who funds life-saving vaccines, argued that reducing federal spending would reverse progress in child mortality rates. Musk, appointed as an outside advisor to the Trump administration, initially aimed to reduce the federal budget through contract cancellations and layoffs. Gates warned that if the cuts aren’t reversed, the death toll could rise to six million.
Musk, unhappy with Gates’ remarks, also referenced a podcast appearance where he linked Gates to Jeffrey Epstein, along with Bill Clinton and Reid Hoffman. Gates had previously acknowledged his association with Epstein, admitting to poor judgment and labeling it a mistake. In a separate statement, Gates emphasized his commitment to philanthropy, pledging to donate 99% of his wealth before his death, stressing the urgency of addressing global issues rather than retaining wealth.
