Elon Musk reveals real reason he’s left Trump

Elon Musk has officially stepped down from his role in the Trump administration, ending his five-month stint as co-lead of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Initially tasked with reducing government spending, Musk faced criticism for cutting thousands of jobs and circumventing transparency rules. Though Trump had praised Musk publicly, their relationship appeared to sour recently, particularly after Musk’s comments on political overspending during an interview with Bloomberg.

Musk confirmed his resignation via a post on X, thanking Trump for the opportunity but alluding to growing friction, especially after Trump supported a massive spending bill that Musk said undermined DOGE’s mission. Another post Musk shared suggested his exit was simply the end of his term as a Special Government Employee. In a CBS interview, Musk admitted to being disheartened by the federal bureaucracy, calling it worse than he had anticipated.
