Trump slams reporter who calls him ‘nasty’

During a White House press conference, Trump lashed out at a reporter who asked about the impact of his tariff threats on the stock market. The question referred to a Wall Street nickname for his economic moves, “TACO trade” — short for “Trump Always Chickens Out.” This nickname came after Trump delayed imposing a 50% tariff on EU goods, which caused the stock market to rally. Initially confused by the nickname, Trump responded by scolding the reporter for asking what he called a “nasty question” and warned her not to repeat it.

This isn’t the first time Trump has reacted harshly to probing questions. In a separate incident on Capitol Hill on May 20, a journalist from NOTUS asked about Republican Andy Harris’s criticism of Trump’s efforts to sway votes on a bill. Trump dismissed the reporter by mocking the credibility of NOTUS, retorting, “Who? I don’t even know what the hell that is. Get yourself a real job.”
