Reports suggest that Meghan Markle’s latest Netflix show, “With Love, Meghan,” is struggling to attract big names, with country legend Dolly Parton reportedly turning down an invitation to appear. Markle’s show, which has already featured several celebrities like Mindy Kaling and Abigail Spencer, is reportedly seeking to expand its guest list to include even more prominent figures. However, according to royal commentator Kinsey Schofield, Parton politely declined Markle’s request, despite her fondness for the royal family.

Parton has a long history of affection for the royals, having performed at Queen Elizabeth II’s Silver Jubilee in the 1970s and sending a video message for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022. She even invited Prince William, Princess Kate, and their children to visit her Dollywood theme park, where she promised a warm and down-to-earth welcome. Parton also revealed plans to have tea with Queen Camilla during her upcoming trip to London, further demonstrating her close ties to the royal family. Given these connections, it’s understandable why she would choose to stay away from Markle’s project.
