‘American Idol’ Music Supervisor Robin Kaye Found Dead with Her Husband Inside Their Home
The tragic deaths of renowned music supervisor Robin Kaye and her husband, Thomas Deluca, have led to a double homicide investigation and renewed attention to a prior security scare at their Encino home. Both were 70 and found shot in separate rooms of their residence after family requested a welfare check on July 14.
LAPD officers discovered signs of blood at the front door and entered through a broken window, where they found the couple deceased. There was no evidence of forced entry or burglary, and the home was not ransacked.
Surveillance footage is being reviewed. A previous incident occurred on July 10 when a neighbor reported someone climbing the fence. Police found no suspicious activity at that time.
Investigators now believe 22-year-old Raymond Boodarian entered through an unlocked door. A struggle ensued when the couple returned, ending in their deaths. Boodarian fled on foot.
On July 16, LAPD and the FBI arrested Boodarian. It’s unclear whether he had any prior connection to the victims or involvement in the earlier trespassing report.
