Trump issues scathing response about MAGA supporters in controversial Epstein scandal

Donald Trump has reiterated his disinterest in the Jeffrey Epstein case, dismissing questions about it as irrelevant and unimportant. On Tuesday (15 July), he criticized those still seeking information on Epstein, particularly targeting a reporter who questioned him during a cabinet meeting the previous week.

During that earlier meeting, Trump snapped at the journalist for asking about Epstein’s possible intelligence ties and missing jailhouse footage, calling it disrespectful considering other national issues. He labeled Epstein a “creep” and expressed disbelief that people are still discussing him.

Speaking again this week, Trump maintained his stance, calling the Epstein story “boring” and saying he doesn’t understand the continued public fascination with the case. He suggested that only “pretty bad people” are interested in keeping the conversation alive.

While answering questions in Maryland, Trump told reporters he sees no reason for ongoing interest in Epstein, claiming all credible information has already been released. He called the matter sordid but ultimately dull.

Trump also appeared to insult his own supporters, saying that those still focused on Epstein are influenced by fake news or have bad intentions. His comments raised eyebrows among conservative voters.

For context, Epstein died in prison in 2019 while awaiting trial for sex trafficking. His death sparked global conspiracy theories involving elite figures and allegations of foul play.

Despite official investigations debunking most of the theories, a recent Democracy Institute poll found 67% of Trump’s supporters disapprove of his refusal to release Epstein’s alleged client list, prompting backlash online.
