Husband his wife on honeymoon after he refuses to …
What began as a romantic honeymoon in Shillong, India, turned into a chilling tale of betrayal and murder. On May 20, businessman Raja Raghuvanshi arrived in the picturesque hill city with his new bride, Sonam Raghuvanshi. Just days later, he was found dead in a remote canyon—his body decomposed, stripped of ID and wedding ring.
Authorities initially suspected Raj Kushwaha, believed to be Sonam’s secret lover. However, as the investigation unfolded, Sonam emerged as the real architect behind the killing.
Police allege that Sonam manipulated Raj emotionally, luring him with false promises of love, and convinced him to help in plotting her husband’s murder.
She also recruited three more men—Vishal Singh, Anand Kurmi, and Akash Rajput—offering them financial incentives to carry out the crime. Sonam used her knowledge of Raja’s movements to help the killers plan the attack.
Investigators believe Raja was ambushed and thrown into the gorge sometime between May 23 and 24. After the murder, Raj returned to Indore, thinking he would be with Sonam—only to discover she had already moved on to another lover.
Authorities uncovered her web of lies through phone records and location tracking. On June 8, Sonam was arrested and confessed to orchestrating the entire plan.
The case has shocked the nation with its twisted layers of deceit and manipulation, revealing how Sonam’s desire for personal gain led to the cold-blooded murder of her husband.
