Meghan Trainor Finally Comes Clean About Weight Loss Transformation
Meghan Trainor recently revealed that she used the weight loss medication Mounjaro to achieve her slimmer figure, following public buzz about her physical transformation. The 31-year-old singer shared this news in an Instagram post featuring images from Billboard’s Women in Music Awards in Los Angeles, where she was honored as a hitmaker.
Though grateful for the recognition, Trainor expressed some disappointment that much of the attention focused on her appearance rather than her music or decade-long dedication to her craft.
The mother of two — Riley, 4, and Barry, 1 — with husband Daryl Sabara, acknowledged she looks different than she did ten years ago but said she feels stronger and healthier than ever.
Speculation about her weight loss began after she posted a photo wearing a miniskirt and T-shirt. Many assumed she was using Ozempic, but Trainor clarified she’s actually been using Mounjaro, a similar drug approved for diabetes and weight loss.
Before the awards show, she hinted to Entertainment Tonight that “science” played a role in her transformation. She’s previously spoken about losing 60 pounds after giving birth to Riley in 2020.
Earlier this year, Trainor also revealed she underwent breast augmentation as part of her overall health and wellness journey, which included lifestyle changes and weight loss.
Born December 22, 1993, in Nantucket, Massachusetts, Trainor rose to fame with her 2014 hit “All About That Bass.” Her success continued with albums like Title, Thank You, and Takin’ It Back, as well as judging stints on talent shows like The Voice UK and The Four.
