Henry Winkler Celebrates Hall of Fame Honor Surrounded by Family – Exclusive Coverage

Henry Winkler, best known as “The Fonz” from Happy Days, was celebrated at the Television Academy’s 27th Annual Hall of Fame Ceremony on August 17 at JW Marriott LA Live in Los Angeles. The honor recognized his decades of contributions to television and entertainment.

The evening was a family affair, as Winkler was joined by his wife of nearly 50 years, Stacey Weitzman, along with their children and spouses, making the milestone especially meaningful.

Winkler’s longtime friend Bob Daly, a 2022 Hall of Fame inductee, presented the award. The moment was full circle, since Winkler himself had introduced Daly just three years earlier. In his speech, Winkler warmly said, “I would not be here at this podium right now if it were not for you.”

His words reflected the professional and personal relationships that have supported his career. Photographs from the event captured the joy of Winkler’s family, including Max Winkler, Jed and Amanda Weitzman, and Zoe and Rob Reinis, highlighting how central family has been to his life.

The ceremony also honored other industry icons such as Viola Davis, Ryan Murphy, Conan O’Brien, Mike Post, and the late Don Mischer. Winkler praised his peers, showing humility and appreciation for the collaborative nature of television.

Following the event, Winkler shared his feelings online, calling the night “overwhelming” and expressing gratitude for celebrating with loved ones and colleagues alike.

His induction not only highlights his achievements as an actor and mentor but also the vital role of family, collaboration, and gratitude in sustaining a long and impactful career.
