Utah investigators have released new information about Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old suspect at the center of a high-profile case that has sparked national attention.

According to officials, Robinson had grown increasingly political in recent years, with his family noticing a deepening obsession with divisive issues.

During a recent family dinner, Robinson reportedly spoke critically about a conservative speaker scheduled to appear at Utah Valley University. He allegedly described the figure as “full of hate and spreading hate,” remarks authorities now believe were tied to his developing motive.

Governor Spencer Cox confirmed that investigators recovered bullet casings linked to Robinson that carried unusual inscriptions. Some were mocking, with phrases like “notices bulges OWO what’s this?” and “if you read this you are gay lmao.”

Other casings contained explicit political messages. One read “hey fascist! catch!” with arrows carved into the metal, while another was etched with lyrics from the anti-fascist anthem Bella Ciao.

Authorities say Robinson admitted he opposed the conservative figure’s views, describing him as a symbol of “hate.” Investigators believe his motive stemmed from a mix of resentment, ideology, and symbolic targeting rather than any personal dispute.
