After Victoria, 34, is found dead, Tommy Lee Jones finally addresses the tragedy
Tommy Lee Jones and his family are mourning the unexpected death of his daughter, Victoria Kafka Jones, who passed away at the age of 34. In a brief statement, the family expressed gratitude for the support they have received and requested privacy as they grieve.
The statement, shared with Page Six, thanked the public for their kindness, thoughts, and prayers during what the family described as an extremely difficult period. It was signed simply on behalf of Victoria’s family.
Victoria was found deceased in the early hours of January 1, 2026, in a hallway on the 14th floor of the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco. Authorities and hotel staff are working together as investigators seek to clarify the circumstances surrounding her death.
Police were alerted shortly before 3:00 a.m. after a guest reported concern that Victoria appeared intoxicated. Hotel staff checked on her, prompting an emergency 911 call that indicated a high-priority response involving a suspected overdose and signs of oxygen deprivation.
Despite CPR efforts by first responders and others at the scene, Victoria was pronounced dead. Investigators reported no visible injuries, no evidence of foul play or suicide, and no drug paraphernalia nearby. The Medical Examiner conducted an initial on-site assessment.
San Francisco police confirmed their response and stated the investigation remains ongoing. The Fairmont Hotel also issued condolences and said it is fully cooperating with authorities.
Victoria is survived by her parents, Tommy Lee Jones and Kimberlea Coughley, and her brother, Austin. She appeared in a few acting projects as a child and later accompanied her father to several public film events.
