Anti-Trump Gunman Leaves Chilling
SACRAMENTO, CA — Federal authorities have arrested 64-year-old Anibal Hernandez-Santana, accused of a drive-by shooting at ABC 10’s Sacramento headquarters. He was initially detained by local police on September 19 but released on $200,000 bail before the FBI took him back into custody on federal charges.
Investigators said a handwritten note was found in Hernandez-Santana’s car, raising national alarm.
The note specifically named former Trump administration officials: Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel, and Deputy Director Dan Bongino. It reportedly accused them of “hiding Epstein & ignoring red flags” and warned, “They’re next.”
Agents also reviewed Hernandez-Santana’s social media, which contained repeated anti-Trump messages. One post read: “Where is a good heart attack when we need it the most?? Please join in my thoughts and prayers for the physical demise of our fearful leader.”
Other posts suggested he was prepared to “fight like hell” against the Trump administration. His lawyer argued that Hernandez-Santana is being singled out because of his outspoken political views.
Patel later confirmed on X that Hernandez-Santana remains in federal custody, stating that “targeted acts of violence will be pursued to the fullest extent of the law.”
The incident came just a day after protests outside ABC 10, following the suspension of Jimmy Kimmel’s show. Kimmel’s earlier remarks falsely linking Charlie Kirk’s alleged attacker to Trump supporters had already fueled nationwide controversy, leaving Sacramento residents shaken by back-to-back events.
