Prince Harry Feels Unfairly Compared To Prince Andrew

Prince Harry released a new video message Thursday, just hours after reports emerged that his uncle, Prince Andrew — now known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor — had been arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

Filming from his home in Montecito, California, Harry encouraged the public to nominate individuals for the 2026 WellChild Awards. He has served for 18 years as patron of WellChild, which supports seriously ill children and their families.

Calling the ceremony “magical,” Harry praised young people living with complex medical conditions. He said they continually demonstrate courage, humor, and remarkable positivity despite facing immense challenges.

His appearance coincided with renewed scrutiny surrounding the royal family following Andrew’s arrest at Wood Farm on King Charles’ Sandringham estate in Norfolk. According to sources cited by People Magazine, the situation has been described as embarrassing for the family.

Andrew is accused of sharing confidential information with Jeffrey Epstein during his time as a U.K. trade envoy. He denies wrongdoing and has not been formally charged.

Police say the arrest allows questioning under caution while evidence is gathered. The Crown Prosecution Service will determine whether charges are warranted once the investigation concludes.

The case has revived attention to Harry’s past frustration over comparisons to his uncle. Andrew previously lost his military titles and patronages in 2022 and settled a civil lawsuit brought by Virginia Giuffre, who died in 2025.
