Cher’s Son Detained Two Times in One Week — Details
Cher’s son, Elijah Blue Allman, has again drawn public attention after being arrested twice in New Hampshire within days. The 49-year-old musician’s legal troubles have renewed concern about ongoing instability in his life.
Allman — the son of Cher and late rock star Gregg Allman — was first detained on February 27, 2026, after police responded to a disturbance at St. Paul’s School. Staff reportedly described an “unwanted guest” behaving erratically inside a dining hall.
Officers from the Concord Police Department arrested him and transported him to jail. He faced charges including simple assault, criminal trespass, criminal threatening, and disorderly conduct. He was later released on personal recognizance pending court proceedings.
Just two days later, Allman was arrested again in Windham, New Hampshire. Police responding to a suspected burglary found him inside a private residence, where a homeowner had reportedly hidden during the incident.
Authorities stated that nothing was stolen, but alleged property damage totaled thousands of dollars. Allman now faces a felony burglary charge related to the case.
These arrests follow earlier public struggles. In 2023, Cher sought a conservatorship citing concerns about substance abuse and mental health, though a judge denied temporary control after Allman presented evidence of sobriety and treatment.
The conservatorship dispute was eventually settled privately in 2024. Now, with new charges emerging far from his usual home in California, questions remain about whether this marks another difficult chapter or a temporary setback.
