New poll reveals how popular

Melania Trump is often regarded as one of the most attractive First Ladies in American history. Born as Melanija Knavs in Slovenia in 1970, she became only the second First Lady born outside the United States.

She studied architecture at the University of Ljubljana but left before graduating to pursue modeling. Within a year, she signed with a modeling agency in Milan and later appeared in major magazines such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and GQ.

Italian businessman Paolo Zampolli helped her obtain a U.S. work visa. Melania eventually became a permanent resident in 2001 and a U.S. citizen in 2006. She has stated that she always followed immigration laws.

Melania met Donald Trump during New York Fashion Week in 1998. They married in 2005 in Palm Beach, Florida. She is Trump’s third wife and is 24 years younger than him.

As First Lady, she launched the Be Best initiative in 2018, focusing on children’s well-being and online safety. She is also known as the first Catholic First Lady since Jacqueline Kennedy.

Melania is devoted to her son, Barron Trump, whom she largely kept away from public attention while raising him. She has also spoken out against cyberbullying.

A recent YouGov survey of 2,255 Americans gave Melania Trump a net approval rating of -16. Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis ranked highest at +56, while Hillary Clinton ranked slightly lower than Melania at -17. The poll also found Donald Trump to be the least popular president among those surveyed, with a rating of -20.
