Body Language Expert Reveals Cristiano Ronaldo’s ‘True Feelings’ at Trump Event

A body language specialist has examined Cristiano Ronaldo’s demeanor during his appearance at President Trump’s black-tie dinner honoring Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Ronaldo attended the White House event with his longtime partner Georgina Rodríguez, joining a guest list that included Elon Musk, Apple CEO Tim Cook, and FIFA president Gianni Infantino. His presence drew attention, given his prominent role in Saudi football since joining Al-Nassr in 2022.

Saudi Arabia is currently pushing forward its Vision initiative, an effort to modernize the nation and broaden its economy beyond oil. As one of the Saudi Pro League’s most high-profile recruits — and its highest-paid star — Ronaldo remains central to that mission.

The visit also fulfilled Ronaldo’s previously stated desire to meet Donald Trump. During the dinner, Trump highlighted that his son Barron was thrilled to finally meet the football icon, joking that Barron “respects his father a little more now.”

Body language expert Inbaal Honigman described Ronaldo’s posture at the event as unusually modest. She noted his slightly lowered head and folded arms, suggesting he was trying to stay unobtrusive and avoid drawing attention away from the political discussions around him.

Honigman also analyzed a group selfie shared on X by entrepreneur David Sacks, which featured Ronaldo among major tech, sports, and political figures. She said Ronaldo’s smile looked forced, with few of the natural facial cues that signal genuine happiness.

In contrast, she pointed to Elon Musk’s expression in the photo — with raised cheeks, narrowed eyes, and an uplifted mouth — as an example of authentic joy, making Ronaldo’s polite but restrained expression stand out even more.
