BREAKING NEWS!! Sad

The RCMP reported that the bodies of three men were recovered near Lillooet, British Columbia, following a mudslide earlier this week.

Officials confirmed that search teams discovered the victims in the aftermath of widespread flooding and landslides that struck the province.

B.C. Chief Coroner Lisa Lapointe issued a statement on Saturday, outlining the recovery efforts. She said one body was found on Wednesday, with two more located the following day.

Search operations continued into Friday in hopes of finding a fourth man who had been reported missing. However, those efforts did not result in any new discoveries.

The tragedy followed days of extreme weather in southern British Columbia, where heavy rainfall triggered destructive flooding and landslides across multiple communities.

Earlier in the week, a woman’s body had also been recovered at the same slide site, marking the first confirmed death from the disaster.

Authorities say recovery operations remain challenging due to unstable ground conditions, but the investigation continues as families and communities mourn the lives lost.
