One morning, a wife found a note from her husband on the fridge:
“My dear wife,
You’ll understand that I have certain needs you, at 57, can’t fulfill. I appreciate you as a wonderful wife. So, after reading this, please don’t take it the wrong way that I’ll be spending tonight with my 19-year-old secretary at the Comfort Inn. Don’t be upset—I’ll be back before midnight.”
That night, he returned home to find a note from his wife on the table:
“My dear husband,
Thank you for your honesty. I’d like to remind you that you’re also 57. As a math teacher at the college, I thought you’d appreciate that while you’re reading this, I’m at the Hotel Fiesta with Michael, a 19-year-old tennis assistant. Since you’re a businessman with a good grasp of numbers, you’ll understand our situation is similar—except 19 goes into 57 more often than 57 goes into 19. So, I’ll be home tomorrow.”
