Charlie Kirk Shared Haunting Final Post
Conservative activist Charlie Kirk was fatally shot during a campus event in Utah, just minutes after posting a somber message online.
Former President Donald Trump confirmed the news on Truth Social, calling Kirk “great and legendary” and praising his deep connection with America’s youth. Trump expressed condolences to Kirk’s wife Erika and his family, saying he was “loved and admired by all.”
The incident occurred on Wednesday, September 10, while Kirk addressed a large audience at Utah Valley University (UVU). Thousands of students were present when the attack unfolded.
Footage from the event shows Kirk speaking before a loud bang is heard. He appears to be struck in the neck, shutting his eyes and collapsing backward as blood is visible from the wound.
Kirk, executive director of Turning Point USA, had been a prominent conservative voice, often speaking to young audiences on political and cultural issues.
Just minutes before his death, he shared a final post about the recent murder of 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska, who was stabbed on a North Carolina train after fleeing Ukraine for safety. Kirk argued that her killing reflected systemic political failures.
Following his death, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche announced that the Justice Department is investigating the shooting, describing it as a “senseless act of violence.”
