Ingredients:
- Fresh eggs (as many as needed)
- Water
- Ice
Instructions:
Boiling the Eggs:
- Arrange the eggs in a single layer at the bottom of a pot.
- Add cold water, ensuring it covers the eggs by at least an inch.
- Heat the water on high until it reaches a rapid boil.
- Once boiling, cover the pot and turn off the heat.
- Let the eggs sit in the hot water for 12 minutes for large eggs (adjust the time slightly for smaller or larger sizes).
Cooling and Peeling:
- Prepare a bowl filled with ice water.
- Once the eggs are done cooking, immediately transfer them to the ice water and cool for at least 5 minutes.
- Gently tap each egg on a hard surface to crack the shell. Start peeling from the wider end, where an air pocket is often located.
- Rinse the peeled eggs under cold water to remove any remaining shell fragments or membrane.
