CIA Boss Reveals Next Country He Expects Vladimir Putin To Attack
A former CIA director, David Petraeus, has warned that Russia might target a Baltic state next if it succeeds in Ukraine. Speaking at a Policy Exchange event in London, Petraeus claimed that Vladimir Putin’s ultimate goal is to establish a puppet regime in Ukraine before moving on to other countries. Lithuania, in particular, has been frequently mentioned by Putin, suggesting it could be at risk. Petraeus believes Western leaders underestimated the seriousness of these threats, and that the US should have acted more decisively in supporting Ukraine.
Petraeus criticized the US for being too slow to provide Ukraine with critical military aid, including M1 Abrams tanks and F-16 fighter jets. He explained that Washington’s hesitancy—requiring multiple requests and delays—only hurt Ukraine’s defense. According to Petraeus, Ukraine needed enough support to alter the battlefield in its favor, making it clear to Moscow that further territorial gains would come at an unacceptable cost. He argued that this failure to act decisively allowed Russia to continue pursuing its aggressive plans without facing a strong enough response.
