Demi Moore Shares Heartfelt Update on Bruce Willis’ Health After Visiting Him
During the 2024 Hamptons International Film Festival on October 13, Demi Moore was honored with the Career Achievement in Acting Award. The 61-year-old actress took the moment to share an emotional update on her ex-husband, Bruce Willis.
Moore revealed that Willis, now 69, remains “stable” as he continues to face frontotemporal dementia (FTD), a progressive brain disorder diagnosed after he was initially diagnosed with aphasia.
She spoke openly about living with such a condition in the family, stressing the need for acceptance. “The disease is what the disease is, and you have to deeply accept that,” Moore said, highlighting the importance of embracing the present.
Despite the challenges, Moore emphasized the beauty of focusing on the current moment and valuing the time they still have together. Her perspective reflects a mix of realism and hope.
Moore also shared a recent personal experience visiting Willis with her granddaughter Louetta, Rumer Willis’ daughter. The visit reinforced for her the significance of treasuring small, shared moments.
Though Moore and Willis divorced in 2000, they have remained close, co-parenting their three daughters—Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah. Her continued support demonstrates a lasting bond and mutual respect beyond their marriage.
While accepting her award, Moore reflected on her career, expressing gratitude for her journey in Hollywood. “It feels like lifetimes,” she said, appreciating the opportunities that allowed her to grow and improve, a testament to resilience both professionally and personally.
