Democrats Leak Internal Poll

Democrats are finding it increasingly difficult to pin the blame for the ongoing three-week government shutdown on Republicans — and their strategy appears to be backfiring.

Recent polling indicates that the so-called “Schumer Shutdown” is taking a toll on them. Internal Democratic data shows voters are nearly evenly divided over who’s responsible: 45% fault Republicans, while 42% blame Democrats. Even more troubling for them, that gap continues to close.

According to a leaked poll obtained by Punchbowl’s Jake Sherman, Americans aren’t convinced by the Democratic narrative. The numbers suggest that the public views government shutdowns as more political drama than genuine national emergencies.

The report goes further, describing shutdowns as “just noise,” noting that most citizens’ daily lives remain largely unaffected despite the political gridlock in Washington.

Adding to Democrats’ frustration, CNN analyst Harry Enten reported that President Trump’s approval rating has actually ticked upward during the standoff — a development few expected.

The attempt to cast Republicans as the clear culprits has instead revealed a broader disillusionment among voters toward both major parties and their political gamesmanship.

As support wanes and frustration mounts, Democrats’ decision to hold firm on the shutdown is starting to look less like a winning strategy and more like a costly political miscalculation.
